The Hidden Savior

“The Hidden Savior Still Undefined”

“Pre-Birth events”—The Angel Gabriel appeared in 7 B.C. to Zechariahs in a vision showing him his wife, Elizabeth, who would bear a son, John, who was to be the forerunner of Jesus, to prepare the way for Him, (Luke 1:57-80). Elizabeth is visited by Mary, and tells her the news of her pregnancy with John as she was filled with the Holy Spirit, (Luke 1: 39-56). The birth of John the Baptist is recorded in Luke 1: 57-80, and then, an angel appeared to Joseph, (Mat. 1-18) and warned him about the pregnancy of Mary about 6 B.C. ( Luke records in Luke 1:15 concerning John the Baptist: “For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb.” Notice that John was filled with, but not baptized with.)

“Angel Foretelling Birth of Jesus to Mary”—Approximately 6 or 7 B.C., an angel appeared to Mary, an unmarried virgin in Nazareth, who was engaged to Joseph, and told her the Holy Ghost would come upon her, and she would supernaturally be with a child from the Most High, and she would call his name Jesus, (Luke 1:26-38.) It was around 5 B.C. when Elizabeth sung a song to Mary in the hill country of Judah, and learned of the child Mary was carrying, (Luke 1:39-45).

“Birth and Infancy of Jesus”—Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem, (Luke 2:1-7) in a manger because there was no room at the Inn for Joseph and Mary. Shepherds visited the newborn child, comforting the parents, (Luke 2:8-17). This occurred about 4 B.C. The circumcision on the eighth day of Jesus’ birth is recorded in Luke 2:21 (as a Jewish ordination commanded in Leviticus 12:3.). Jesus is presented in the Temple. And is acknowledged by Simeon and Anna. (Luke 2:22-38). The wise men, who were actually Magi from a distant land visited Jesus, bringing Him gifts, and worshiped Him. (Mat. 2:1-12). Herod the king of that time heard rumors about Jesus, the Messiah, and not knowing where to find Him, wanting to kill Him, slaughtered male babies throughout the land, but Jesus was quickly taken to Egypt by Joseph and Mary in order to escape death. (Mat. 13:18). When it was safe to return, He is brought back to Nazareth by his parents, having escaped execution by Herod. (Mat. 2:19-23) (Luke 2:39).

“Youth of Jesus”—approximately 7-8 B.C., when Jesus is twelve years of age, He visits the Temple in Jerusalem, and speaks wisdom to the Jews, which they cannot imagine where He learned at so young an age! (Luke 2: 41-50). The remaining years of Jesus’ childhood are unrecorded in the Bible, as to the actual events, except to say He continued it increase in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men. (Luke 2:51-52) (There have been many Publications in the past generations claiming to have information about what Jesus did up to the time of starting His ministry, making all sorts of claims, as to his travels and even claimed miracles He did. Example: “The Lost Years of Jesus Revealed” by Rev. Dr. Potter, Fawett God Metal.)
